We all have an inbuilt need to receive love. In large religious groups people can have that need filled when often it has been lacking in their earthly relationships. “God loves you” clearly demonstrates this gap being filled. If we realise the Universe has a strange way of taking care of us, this need can also be met.
How do religious groups react to their beliefs being threatened? Some are so zealous they might go out of their way to assassinate the infidels. Madness. Such is the dangerously ingrained depth of their institutional egos. The Quest For Truth does not want to change anybody from holding their own personal beliefs – Muslim, Hindu whatever – they are entitled to believe what they want. We would question their right to enforce their views on people whose minds are easier to control. Especially children. Children are not yet able to put new religious information into context. Teaching religion to children is an abuse of their God given right to free will. It should end.
