Where lies the truth in eating meat?

It is true that we don’t need to eat meat to survive and to be healthy.

It is true that given a choice an animal would not want to be killed and eaten.

It is true that we don’t know how much animals can think, how much fear they can feel, and how much suffering is inside them when they are farmed and slaughtered.

Given these truths, is it true that it is morally right to kill and eat animals?
