information, understand it first and then exercise some self discipline to decide whether the new information has some element of truth in it, and ask ourselves can we benefit by leaving behind our outdated previous ideas of how the world should be. We are shooting ourselves in the foot when we instantly dismiss new information as to change our view may present a little risk of making us appear less knowledgeable. Strength is in change. Weak people stay put.
